I have a heart.

The ultimate experience is not love nor hate nor death.

It is sorrow.

It is the all encompassing feeling that consumes every fibre of the heart and renders it a soul. True grief cannot happen without true happiness.

And if true happiness in itself is so rarely found, then one must realise how lucky it is to be completely crippled.

People never remember movies with happy endings. When the plain Jane captures Prince Charming's heart or when the losing team wins.

People remember the heartwrenching moments; the ones when we have to cover our eyes to shield ourselves from the horror of reality that is so dejectedly ugly. Yet the tears fall. And some even sob.

We let them fall because we need to feel like a human. We need to feel sadness in order to be human. We revel as the tears slide down our cheeks leaving its wet trail of warmness; a sign of possessing a heart.

We sink deep. Wholeheartedly and willingly into grief.

Sometimes when a piece of music plays, no words need be said. No lyrics need be sung. The notes simply swirl around you, building and building to that crescendo that takes you and plunges you into the depths of unknown despair. You inhale and your eyelids fall like a shutter and you forget to exhale the rest.

And sometimes when you sit outside in the sun, by yourself, quietly, no music is needed. Just the stillness of the moment and the feel of your heart beating is enough to reduce you to a weeping melody.

Oh yes, humans have great affinity for the melancholy spirit. We may bemoan our bad fates and shun from life in times of anguish, but we are never closer to the core of life than when we let sorrow dominate ourselves.

And we cry.

~This post was inspired by the music from the Pride and Prejudice Sountrack.~

haha thanks i think :). i seem to have a tendency to the morbid aspects of life..not sure why ..probably was born this way haha...it must be a good thing that i don't play the piano or violin the two instruments i feel that have the power to produce some of the most melancholy of notes. or not? hehe
