Give thanks

I think I've come a full circle. My friends surprise me everyday. I'll talk a bit about my surprise birthday party (at the adamant request of Non).

First on my birthday, they surprised me at home with a cake. And then they surprised me again on Saturday when I innocently thought I was going to some simple gathering where we would play a treasure hunt.

Of course, silly little me who was in a foul mood all day (for reasons too personal to say here) was dreading to go to this social gathering (for I am the epitome of friendliness) was absolutely SHOCKED when it turned out to be my surprise birthday party. And I'm really touched by the amount of work my dearest flatmates Non and Mel put into organising the party. Thanks everyone who came and were sporting enough to play.

We did of course have a treasure hunt and some of the tasks included spelling out my name, drinking a bottle of coke in two minutes, playing and singing the guitar, changing tops with a member of the opposite sex and hugging a stranger. All very clean fun indeed. So thank you girls for making it such a memorable one.

Not forgetting a very sweet package that came all the way from Singapore from my fellow Glitters who bought me the fattest and cutest FISH soft toy. I have this fetish for fat cute fish (and my close friends would know about my Fifi at home) and was truly touched when I opened the box. I have officially named her Lala.

Speaking of friends, these past few weeks have truly surprised me. When I least expect it, my friends have been the best and when I really needed to count on them, they were there. When I needed someone to have faith in me, they were there. And when I needed a wingman, they were there. You girls know who you are. I feel truly lucky that you girls are in my life be it if you're thousands of miles away or here.

I only hope I can be there when you need me too InsyaAllah.

Life has really changed dramatically for me all of a sudden. There's so much to say I don't know where to begin. So many words yet none would capture everything.

So I'll be simple and say Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah. Thank you for him.
