Got to get out

I'm feeling peaceful and happy. Happy for a friend of mine - happiness that is so much more than who we are can only come from Him. Beautiful. InsyaAllah my friend. Banyak-banyak doa k.

Anyway, I am sooooo due for a holiday somewhere. I was thinking of visiting Adelaide and crash there for a bit but everyone's having exams. Maybe to Sydney perhaps (but mel you can climb the bridge yourself), or to the NT. Maybe Fiji.

It's like the 'in' thing in final year here. Everyone is travelling to europe, third world countries and raving about it. Got to get out before medicine engulfs you. Electives are just an excuse to get to somewhere far. Which is fine as long as it broadens your perspective. I'm still a bit miffed that the faculty was sponsoring tickets to Singapore so that students can do placements in Johor at Tun Aminah and no one told us! Grrr. And last time I checked, students have been using this placement as a gateway to Asia. Oh well can't blame them especially those who have never ventured out of down under.

But I've got to get my priorities straight. I will most likely need a car for next year and I still have to find my own place and put furniture in it. Been working less now because of my night shifts. I'll have to work full time when I get back later in this year before I graduate to get all this extra cash.

But then, my family is coming over - maybe I can persuade them to travel to Whitsundays. Hmmm.

Oh maybe just a cheap day trip to watch whales would suffice.
