Baju Arab

Something much lighter than the current woes of our economy. I was looking through Elia's blog and clicked on http://hijabstyle.blogspot.com/ and found these absolutely gorgeous jubah-style bajus showcased at Dubai Fashion Week. These are just some of my favourites.





Me wearing the jubah my sis bought for me in Mecca worth 400 riyal. It is very heavy due to all the beads and sequins but I like it very much.

If only I could wear these clothes to hospital. Hah.

when i was in london, there was a neurology registrar who wears different coloured jubah every day (with hijab, of course) and she looks GORGEOUS. tapi saya malu. pakai baju kurung pun malu, what more abayah or jubah. believe me, i've been tempted to just put on an abayah on days when i'm out of ideas what to wear!

doctors should dress up. haha. i'm speaking from a patients' point of view..... :-D

anyway, this entry of yours reminds me of the jubah/abayah/longdress/idunnowhatitscalled back when my parents bought one for me when they went mecca. i don't think i can fit into it anymore... though... i like it very much. hehe. and this really reminds me to go search for it...

and i like that hijab blogspot also laaa :-)

hana: you know what i've always been confused with the terms too. i think abayah is like the final later which is usually black. like they wear colourful jubahs underneath than wear the black abaya over to cover??

yes i like the blog too but it's a pity most of the styles suit more to cold weather..
