007

I'm in the country. I drove at 80 km per hour on the freeway. Almost made a dangerous lane change but Alhamdulillah I'm still in one piece. I did enjoy the view of the rolling hills and cattle. The accomodation here is not as bad as everyone harps about. The closest description I can think of is that it is like an average motel room. Everything is clean but old. It's literally 2 minutes behind the hospital and next door to the library that houses three computers with internet access for all the doctors and students working here.

Working my first ever cover shift tomorrow. I'll be covering the medical and surgical wards which includes O&G and paeds. In a hospital with only 3 doctors after hours.

Just as how I had the luck to start on night shifts as an intern, I've been assigned the first weekend cover shifts for this term. Saturday and Sunday.

My pager number is 007. Of course.

So if I survive this week and the stares in town, I'm treating myself to a nice neck massage in Chadstone. And a really expensive seafood dinner.

How was your week, Mun? Survived, I'm sure :) I should ask "how's the seafood" instead!
