Lepak

I don't usually talk about my mundane activities. But I had such a lovely weekend that I felt I had to say something :)

It was such a sunny and beautiful day for a trip to Fitzroy and coffee in the sun. We wandered through the streets and passed through a housing commission area and I was delighted to find that it had a neighbourhood basketball court, vegetable garden and playground. How very like HDB but not! I was very excited.

We ate and walked. We ate and walked. Wandered through an artistic market of which this means lots of hippie-looking peeps making crafty things which could range from odd-looking rocking chairs that do not look comfortable at all to nude art to pictures of little kids from third- world countries artistically captured on blocks of recycled wood. If it's not recycled, second- hand looking or organic or doesn't serve a greater purpose, it's just not in baby.

And finally, dinner at Aiza's which was really wholesome and resonated with the organic theme of the day. So lovely to have everyone together after such a looong time. We were missing a few but their names were definitely not missed in our conversations.

Gosh I really miss our lepak-ing days.
