Surah Al-Inshirah - The Expansion of the Breast (Al-Quran Surah 94)

In the Name of Allah , Most Gracious , Most Merciful
2. And removed from thee thy burden
4. And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
5. So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
6. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.
7. Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard,
8. And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.
To share with my sisters and brothers. The learning of Arabic is essential to fully appreciating the conciseness and beauty of not only the Arabic language but of Quranic Arabic which is the purest form of the Arabic language. Recently, Alhamdulillah, I have been fortunate to be learning Arabic with a sister who teaches Arabic from a Quranic perspective. It is absolutely amazing the depth and complexity of the grammar used in the Quran and the linguistic wonders of the Quran. It is hard for me to describe. While translated texts and commentaries try to give the reader a wide as possible an understanding of the Quran, one cannot fully appreciate the many layers inherent in the verses until it is studied with a sound understanding of the Arabic language. The English language is often not sufficient enough to give an adequate and justified translation it deserves. The commentaries often accompanying the translations will give readers more perspective though still limited because of the limitations of the English language. Interestingly, this sister who is from Eqypt told me that in their universities, non-Muslims who teach Arabic use the Quran to provide examples to demonstrate the pure grammar and conciseness of the Arabic language. A word can change its meaning completely by a change in the vowel (tashkil) and the pre-fix 'Al' to a noun makes it definite and singular and in turn affect the meaning of the verses. And this is only what I have managed to learn and appreciate after six classes. Don't take my word for it though, give it a go where ever you are :)
